The U.P. Secondhand Shop is now open again.
We will be open to take in donations during office hours and w
hen the Shop is normally open,
on Thursdays and Saturdays, 2-4pm.
We don't take clothes or shoes but we do take just about anything else.

The "VISIT UNST" TOURISM WEBSITE is now open but please check with venues as to whether they are open in 2022 and their hours, regulations, etc.
Unst Heritage Centre, Unst Boat Haven are both open daily 11-4pm from May-September 2022.
Unst Leisure Centre now open.   Saxavord Resort closed.

The Unst Partnership Ltd is a charity organisation located on the island of Unst in the Shetland Islands. There are two branches to Unst Partnership: our secondhand or recycling shop and community development/tourism. We have two part-time members of staff (Kathleen Johnson, Shop manager and Peter Sandison,  Recycling Development Officer) but the Office is open on a Volunteer Director basis from Monday - Friday, 10-12 noon and 2pm-4pm. We will assist in any way we can with enquiries about Unst. Telephone 01957 711495 to check we are in;  or email up@unst.org   The Office is near the Jamieson's Coaches' Garage/"Final Checkout" Shop at Hagdale Industrial Estate, Baltasound, Unst, ZE2 9TW.

Membership of Unst Partnership is free to anyone over 18, resident on Unst on the Unst Electoral Roll. Or you can take out free Associate Membership if you are not in this category but wish to support the aims of the Partnership.

The aims of the Unst Partnership are:

  1. To provide, or assist in providing, recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community. 
  2. To advance community development, including urban or rural regeneration within the Community.
  3. To advance the education of the Community about its environment, culture, heritage and/or history.
  4. To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community

It is completely free, and will help show your support for the work we do.  Occasional  newsletters are sent out to the members and are available online.

By becoming a member you are offering your support to the Unst Partnership to help regenerate the Unst community and economy and playing your part in developing our island and ensuring it’s sustainability. You can contact an UP Director with any questions, issues or ideas you have related to the island of Unst and the community.

How to become a member: Please download and complete our UP Membership Form then return to up@unst.org. Hard copies of membership forms are also available to collect and complete at our office.
